1 Corinthians 7:1-2 // 1 Peter 2:9

The Lord is showing me about how we females see ourselves and told me to teach about fornication and getting married. The Lord doesn’t want us to see ourselves as “sexy” because that is the mentality, mindset, and view of self from the world and the ruler of this world is Satan. But the Lord wants us to see ourselves as holy and pure.

1 Peter 2:9 (NLT)

But you are not like that, for you are a chosen people. You are royal priests, a holy nation, God’s very own possession. As a result, you can show others the goodness of God, for he called you out of the darkness into his wonderful light.

When we look in the mirror, at the back of our minds we shouldn’t be thinking pervertedly about ourselves like “oh, I’m so sexy” Noooo! Even if you don’t say that – it’s still a standard in this world. A good standard is God’s standard which is – without makeup or tight clothes that expose your butt or your cleavage, or your waist, etc. He loves you not from what you wear, but who are you are – do you accept His son Jesus? Do you accept His gift to you? It’s not your beauty he is after – it’s your heart. It’s your commitment to love Him, to love His son and accept the Free Gift of Salvation. He wants to save you, love you, correct you, teach you, and more. He wants you to be alive in Him, to live a life filled with Grace. No longer having to submit to the worlds standards but Gods. Our outer appearances can hide so much, but God knows who you really are. He knows your thought patterns, the argument you had with your mom or dad, the person you slept with and had no commitment with, the guy who smacked you, the guy who abused you, the one who broke your heart and shattered it to pieces, the time when your boyfriend did something you didn’t like, but to make him happy you let it go (this is not right) – you deserve better.

Accepting God’s son as your Saviour by Faith pleases God SO MUCH! First of all it’s HIS SON who willingly died for our sins. Second, he wants you to be with him in heaven. Thirdly, Faith is what pleases God and he wants you to know HOW MUCH importance you are TO HIM.

You can only do that or know that by having a relationship WITH God, THROUGH his Son Jesus Christ. Accepting Jesus is your door to all of God’s goodness- especially having that relationship with God 🙂

The point:
We need to renew our minds from Lust to Purity. We need to be able to go to the mirror and see through our eyes the purity of how beautiful you are to God(how your eyes glow with light, the freckles you have, how different your nose is or how defined you lips are! NOT TO JUDGE YOURSELF but to LOVE What God Made), not how sexy you could be (when you look at how big or attractive you butt is to please a mans eyes so that he would be attracted to you…. or showing so much of your cleavage that it tempts a man to look at your breast which were for breastfeeding and for your husband only.)

The other point:

1 Corinthians 7:1-2(NLT)

Instruction on Marriage

Now regarding the questions you asked in your letter. Yes, it is good to abstain from sexual relations. But because there is so much sexual immorality, each man should have his own wife, and each woman should have her own husband.

We shouldn’t be having sex before marriage, this is fornicating and is a sin to God. So, Paul write here that because there is SO MUCH sexual immorality, each man SHOULD have his own wife, and each woman HAVE her own husband. Marry the man you are having sex with, but don’t divorce them. If you got married for sex, it was never real love. It was selfish. So, that’s sad but if you don’t want to marry you shouldn’t be having sex cause your sinning against your own body, mainly God.

Amen, I find it beautiful when people are truly seeking after God’s heart! Marriage is a very special gift from God. Isn’t it interesting how the things that God finds beautiful are usually very different from what people considers beautiful? Purity is so much more beautiful and fulfilling than lust. Shalom and bless you.

Amen! That is amazing! Its truly amazing when God purifies us from our mentalities. It’s truly amazon when the Lord shapes and moulds us always. It is beautiful how different and pure God is, compared to this mentality we get in the world. God is so beautiful – it is amazing! And yes, purity is way better than lust, 1000% agreed. God bless you too and Shalom as well!
