Verse of the Day

Romans 3:9-12

What shall we conclude then? Do we have any advantage? Not at all! For we have already made the charge that Jews and Gentiles alike are all under the power of sin.

As it is written:

“There is no one righteous, not even one;
there is no one who understands; there is no one who seeks God.
All have turned away, they have together become worthless;
there is no one who does good, not even one.”

All people start in the same boat, and the boat is leaking and will eventually sink. Nobody earns their way in God’s eyes. A person is either saved by faith in Christ, or is subject to the full wrath of God that will be delivered upon them according to their deeds apart from Christ. The law reveals to us our sin, but following it cannot save us. (Rom 3:20) Christ alone is our hope, and He is a hope available to all. Repent and believe in the one and only Messiah! Praise God that we are saved, because we all NEED to be saved.

Jocelyns Comments

After reading how we cannot earn our way to Heaven really changes the way I think. When He says “work” and “bear fruit” and he will see the “fruit” we have, I would say I get freaked out because if I haven’t bear fruit (good fruit too, well I desire excellent yummy fruits :3) then that’s no good! Right now I see fruit as physical things or how I see myself but what God sees is different!!

Does God see anything bad in me? I mean I know I am sinful and stuff – I can’t stand that he’d see something horrible in me 😦 I  don’t want him to see that side of me even though he does and he loves me fully inside and out – that why he is willing to help me change the areas we both don’t like – but team work (Holy Spirit  & You) will do changes together.

Another thing I saw was that, no matter how good we think we are, no one is good, according to the word, not even the people who think they are, because we all sin, we all have created idols somehow, we all have lied, we all have done something disobedient to God that makes us [not good].

So those who are not good, and accept a saviour for their non good behaviour to redeem them with His blood are humble to accept someone to save them, when it comes to Jesus being Lord of their life – well it’s a battle. Some know this is the cost, while others (like me) don’t or did know but really didn’t COUNT the cost.

Jesus said in Matthew 10:39 – “If you cling to your life, you will lose it; but if you give up your life for me, you will find it.”

and I’m paraphrasing “Try to save your [earthly] life and you WILL Lose Eternal Life, lose your [earthly] life for Jesus and you WILL live[forever], ”

And those who are not good, and don’t accept Jesus as their saviour are under the wrath of God in judgement because no matter what they say – they can’t save themselves because God knows every detail and every person in the world is not good.. and of course he will see the good a person is done, but the bad hasn’t been forgiven unless you asked in Jesus name. Unless you believed in Jesus to forgive your sins, cause without Jesus Christ saving you… your not safe. That’s not even a game.

If I were to be in that situation, id be so dead. Firstly, I rejected God’s son or I was so prideful I thought I didn’t need him but one day I just died and I couldn’t accept God’s son – O.O that’s not gunna be a positive outcome. Especially if ya heard it so many times…

But, I have accepted Jesus as my Saviour and I do know that I am a sinner and I do know that He literally set me free, and one day when I face God [ impacting moment] He will see Jesus in me, but know it’s Jocelyn. I trusted in the Cornerstone – the MAIN STONE. I depended on Him to destroy my enemies, and Ran to Him so much until I found Him when He finally destroyed that which tried to destroy me.

By the way, I’m not a professional writer – but hope you can understand.

God bless
