Proverbs 31:30 (NLT)

Proverbs 31:30 (NLT) “Charm is deceptive, and beauty does not last; but a woman who fears the LORD will be greatly praised.”

I was lookin’ at some people I know’s Facebook. Yes, I saw a picture and I clicked it because you see how people have changed! Actually… they just met a famous singer / actor or they got a new boyfriend. That isn’t much of a change but the same as the rest of the world. My heart is really sensitive and these people were females and I knew them from high school and wow, they are those typical girls that are always looking’ good and stylish. I don’t hate it, it looks awesome, they look beautiful! But I thought in my head “they look beautiful on the outside but how are they inside.” Then this verse in Proverbs 31:30 came to mind… “Charm is deceptive, and beauty does not last; but a woman who fears the LORD will be greatly praised.”

All our beauty will fade away, all our charm and good looks will wrinkle. Then our true face will show, our inner self will be dark or shine bright with the Holy Spirit. A woman who fears (honours, respects, reveres) the LORD will be greatly praised. Why? The Lord does a work in you and instead of focusing on worldy things, you focus on your creator – the Lord loves that!

For those who only look on the outside appearance, I challenge you to see who you are inside according to the bible. According to the Bible you are a sinner, you are found guilty before the King of Heaven and Earth. But through Jesus Christ, you are protected against the guilt and are covered by the Lambs blood, and free of guilt and shame. Even from the day you were born Jesus protected you, but now you are allowing Him to work in your life by the Holy Spirit. You allow the Lord to fix the inside of you, which will show on the outside even when your beauty fades and that is what matters to Him. No, we won’t be perfect and we will fall, but He will always be there ready to forgive your sins and love you and help you get up and feel beautiful inside and out.

Blessings 🙂
